NICHOLE MCIVER has a background in two-dimensional studio art, and art history. Her passion for hand crafting personal adornment is rooted in her fascination with precious historical objects. She continues to find inspiration in everything from the decorative foliage found in the margins of illuminated manuscripts, to the secret symbolism of Victorian mourning jewelry. Nichole is a self-taught maker and Acanthus is hand made by her personally, in her home studio in Central Minnesota.

THE ACANTHUS COLLECTION is hand crafted in oxidized silver, 14k gold and 24k gold, and uses semi-precious and precious gemstones such as rainbow moonstones, diamonds and the incredibly unique, dendritic agate. The hand of the artist is revealed in each piece created, from forming metal, to stone setting, to delicately and painstakingly cutting gold imagery to create the patterns in her pieces. When you wear a piece of Acanthus jewelry, you know exactly the time, work, and love that went into it.

After a long, left-brained detour following her start as an art major, Michele Scholnick returned to design and found herself captivated by a wax as a sculpture medium. Her line, Branch, which today includes both fine jewelry and bronze decorative objects, is influenced by all things nature, from the pristine to the decayed, and is characterized in some instances by a soft minimalism, and in others, the use of painstakingly applied texture. Michele carves the pieces by hand, mostly in the middle of the night and with lots of help from her two dogs.

Metalsmithing is the process of telling stories through metal.  Each piece is fourth to life by Chapin's spirit and fire, releasing the inner essence of the metal. Art is not only a product, it is the process of creation - expressing life, capturing moments, and preserving and making memories.  each piece tells a story of blending natural elements together to capture nature's expression.

In 1996, I left my career in banking for a short-term sabbatical in Mexico. My plan was to stay two weeks. I stayed a year.

Unexpectedly, I had fallen in love with San Miguel de Allende, taking art and language classes, as well as traveling throughout Mexico.    When a dear friend arrived to see just exactly what her former corner-office-loving colleague was doing somewhere in the middle of Mexico, everything changed. Strolling the 17th century streets through the artisan shops and markets, she turned to me and said, “You know, your paintings are alright, but you have to get focused - this jewelry, it’s incredible. Start designing.” This was the spark that brought my business to life. After collaborating with master metalsmith artisans, my jewelry business took root. After a pause of dedicated time for family and motherhood, I’ve relaunched under the name Cornelia Lively, my grandmother’s name.

The materials we use are silver, niobium and gold, and sometimes copper, so far. For those of you who only recognize three of the four, here’s a bit of background on the stranger element, Niobium, the 41st square on the periodic table. This combination of materials helps us design Unique Cuff Bracelets for our clients.

I originally chose niobium to replace the steel hardware store tie-wire I used for the original bracelets, which has a dark grey color but would rust on your arm; not the most stylish accessory, the old rust ring.

Style Q&A: Canadian jewelry designer Dean Davidson celebrates 15 years | Vancouver Sun

Creating timeless jewelry with a global perspective, Dean Davidson is known for careful craftsmanship, hand-cut gemstones, and a signature brushed finish. Rooted in Canada and inspired by world travels, the brand’s story is as remarkable as the designs themselves.

Dean spent his early life on Canada’s vast farmland, surrounded by natural beauty and gifted the freedom to explore. Straying from the norm to follow his innate creativity and knack for entrepreneurship, Dean shifted from a career in agriculture to founding his own jewelry brand. This choice would lead him to travel the globe and adorn prominent figures in his designs.

Based in Boulder, Colorado, Elyria Jewels creates unique, contemporary jewelry for women with eclectic taste. Using time-honored techniques, we hammer, solder, file, set, and polish handcrafted works of art to be worn every day, or for a once-in-a-lifetime occasion.

Elisa Browsh is Elyria's founder and creative director. Her designs are a fusion of industrial and bohemian, with an interplay of fine and rough elements. Coming from a background in anthropology and fine jewelry design, her work is inspired by influences as diverse as tribal adornment and vintage Cartier.

Elisa founded Elyria in 1996 as a Tahitian pearl import company. After 12 years in the wholesale pearl business, Elyria evolved into the jewelry design company that it is today, with its focus on unique gemstones and pearls, and handmade craftsmanship.

Scott & Stephanie’s successful careers in technology, combined with Stephanie’s love of all things horses, led to Embrazio’s first product; a curved belt and phone holster designed for secure and easy access to your smart phone while on horseback. Called the Classico Combination, this product brought together innovative fashion and a clear attention to functional needs associated with modern technology.

Heather B. Moore
In 1994, Heather Moore began designing jewelry. With a background as a glass blower and metal worker, her designs were quickly considered to be the finest personalized collection in the luxury market. She combines her talent for storytelling with her passion for the arts to create jewelry that allows you to Cherish Who You Are®. This collection is about documenting your story and remembering what shaped it along the way.

I hand-create richly textured jewelry that involves a metalsmithing process called fusing. Each piece of sterling silver is hand-cut and carefully placed with tweezers onto a sterling silver base. Then with a little magic, a little luck, intense concentration and careful torch control, the piece is heated just before it completely melts. It's at this point that the pieces fuse to the base. This creates a unique look but also provides superior durability and texture to the piece. Then, using traditional metalsmithing techniques, each piece is finished by hand in our studio in Louisville, Colorado.

It's my hope that my jewelry will connect you to your happy place, wherever you may be.

Julie Cohn’s creative endeavors have come together to form her unique vision and aesthetic, characterized by the tension between rough and refined, primitive and modern, ultimately paring things down to their essence.

Educated as a painter and printmaker Julie studied the craft of bookbinding and box-making to house her prints which lead her down a diverse design path that included rugs, textiles, hardware, tabletop, collaborations with architects and public art.

As a self-taught jeweler, her approach is unconventional in process and begins by working directly with materials rather than sketching a preconceived idea. She finds inspiration in nature, primitive ethnic forms, indigenous crafts and old world processes. Her pieces are about possibilities for layering and stacking to create personal collages that uniquely juxtapose disparate elements with simple elegance.

I have never been one to color inside the lines so why should my work be constrained by any limits? Being creative is a way of life for me. My work is comprised of silver, gold, natural stones, gemstones and any material that calls to me in the creative process.

From the very beginning of my journey as a metalsmith in 2008, one of my goals has been to create unique, one-of-a-kind wearable art. I consider the jewelry I make to be personal adornments, as distinctive as the person who wears it.

King Baby is designed for jewelry enthusiasts who appreciate value and artisan products. These special pieces capture the spirit of America with rock n’ roll sex appeal.

Lauren Wolf discovered her love for casting found objects while learning the art of metalsmithing in the mountains of Mexico. Today, Lauren Wolf Jewelry is best known for creating unusual engagement rings using ethically-mined, rare colored diamonds and can be found in over sixty boutiques nationwide.

Produced in California, with roots in New York City – where the brand was born and based for eight years – Lauren Wolf Jewelry often incorporates seemingly contradictory elements in order to produce designs that are at once primitive and sophisticated, edgy and elegant, classic and unconventional.

Laurie draws inspiration from every aspect of nature and art. Her latest collection, Fresco, is inspired by the fresco paintings of the Italian Renaissance. Frescos are paintings on fresh, wet plaster which, over time, weather, flake and fade and take on a timeworn texture. Laurie reimagines these textures in her 18k gold and blackened silver designs.

Martell Studio is a true labor of love by extremely gifted artisans who create each piece one bead at a time.

At Martell Studio, we embrace dichotomy and possibility in a single bracelet. We combine gemstones and leather to create pieces that are both raw and sophisticated. Powerful and pliable.

Plainly put - you can wear our bracelets hiking and out for the evening. Of the earth and on the town.

This collection includes a variety of chains and necklaces for men,

Participation in the arts was always important to me growing up. A strong arts program in high school influenced my decision to pursue a degree in the arts. I chose the arts program at Bowling Green State University in northwest Ohio where I discovered and fell in love with metals. I was introduced to many artists, including Michael Boyd, who became an inspiration for me.

Upon graduation I apprenticed for Michael Boyd at his studio in Colorado. That experience turned into an eight year adventure that continues today. It was with Michael that I learned to work with and manipulate stone, adding a new element to my love of jewelry design.

Since being in Colorado I have started my own business, Ryan Gardner Designs. I now showcase my work in galleries across the country. I love working with combining stone and metal in new ways creating works of art for people to enjoy in their daily lives.

Change is the only constant in life. Coins and paper money have served as the primary method of payment for centuries. The arrival of high-tech cards caused a rapid replacement of these traditional means of payment. This new era of technology calls for an innovative type of wallet. One thatprotects both your privacy and your money. The Secrid wallet does exactly that both in terms of security and style.

Susan Elnora is drawn to imagery that reflects a connection to spirit, awareness, curiosity, and playfulness. Her work explores the idea that, beyond the role of adornment, jewelry can act as a visual and tactile manifestation of memories, dreams, stories, and intentions. She believes that jewelry can become a powerful symbol of personal mythos, as well as a reminder to cultivate presence and openness.

All pieces are handmade by Susan from sterling silver and gold. Most shapes are sawed out, then refined with tiny files, and the pieces are folded, forged, and soldered together. She often textures and oxidizes her work to bring out its delicate details and sculptural dimensionality. A supporter of conscious sustainability, Susan uses recycled metals and responsibly sourced gems.

Our namesake, Zeta Leonis, is the seventh most brilliant star visible in the Leo, one of the oldest constellations. As a Leo born in August, this star has special significance to the artist Paula Romero. Built upon the success of the introductory line of meticulously beaded jewelry, Fire of Joy, Paula’s newest project is an ode to individuality and diverse femininity. With the magnificent Colorado sky as a muse, Zeta Leonis relies on the innate brilliance and natural elegance of responsibly sourced metals, stones, and gems as the backbones of every handcrafted collection.

Zeta Leonis is the next chapter of Paula’s artistic vision: born from the lush beauty of her native Ecuador, enriched by expansive travels, and honed in the rugged mountains of Colorado. She aims to highlight this natural magic through pieces which possess raw, timeless beauty. Thoughtfully walking the line between bohemian and edgy, laidback and glamorous, the collections aim to be accessible to everyone and every occasion.
